Young Derby County midfielder Cruz Allen has been called up to represent Wales Under-17s in the Under-17 European Championship in Cyprus.
Allen, who signed his professional contract earlier this year, will travel to Cyprus next month to take part in the tournament which runs from 20th May to 5th June.
The teenager has been a standout performer in Derby's youth sides this season and his performances across the year earned him several call-ups to Jake Buxton's Under-21s after impressing in Danny Maye's Under-18s.
Allen already has nine appearances to his name with the Wales Under-17s and five with the Under-16s prior to that, but this summer will mark the first time that he has represented his country at an international tournament.
The young Welsh team are in a group alongside Austria Under-17s, Denmark Under-17s and Croatia Under-17s and their first match against Denmark will get under way on the opening day of the tournament, 20th May.
Congratulations and good luck, Cruz!
