Derby County forward Nathaniel Mendez-Laing has been nominated for the PFA Fans' League One Player of the Year award for the 2023/24 season.

Mendez-Laing had a brilliant campaign for the Rams and his displays played a pivotal role in the success Paul Warne's side enjoyed on the pitch.

He was an ever-present in the side across the course of the season, featuring in all 46 matches in Sky Bet League One, 45 of which were starts.

The 32-year-old provided nine goals and 15 assists across those 46 games on the way to helping the side secure automatic promotion to the Sky Bet Championship on the final day of the campaign with a 2-0 home win over Carlisle United.

His displays saw him named in the League One Team of the Season by the EFL, alongside fellow team-mate Eiran Cashin.

Mendez-Laing is up against seven others for the award; Portsmouth duo Colby Bishop & Marlon Pack, Harrison Burrows of Peterborough United, Barnsley's Devante Cole, Charlton Athletic's Alfie May, Josh Sheehan of Bolton Wanderers and Bristol Rovers' former Ram Chris Martin.
