Team News

Defender Callum Elder missed the Good Friday victory over Blackpool with a groin issue and will remain out for the clash with Pompey.

Defender Craig Forsyth is out of action once again after picking up a calf injury in training last week, while forward Tom Barkhuizen remains out with a similar problem.

Central defender Sonny Bradley will serve the second match of his suspension against one of his former clubs, following the red card he picked up in last weekend's defeat at Northampton Town.

Striker Dwight Gayle hobbled off in the victory against Bolton Wanderers last month with a hamstring issue and will remain out once again.

Midfielder Max Bird remains out after injuring his calf in training last month but is close to returning to training.

Defender Ryan Nyambe has had an operation on his damaged quad, sustained in February, which will keep him out of action for the remainder of the campaign.

Goalkeeper Josh Vickers has returned to training after a quad injury and is building up his sharpness in training.

Striker Tyreece John-Jules suffered a hamstring tear in the defeat against Reading in January that will keep him out of action for the rest of the season.

Long-term absentee Jake Rooney remains out after suffering a ACL knee injury in September and remains a way off a return to full training, although he is making excellent progress.

Pre-Match Thoughts

Head Coach Paul Warne spoke to RamsTV to preview Tuesday's top of the table clash.

He said: "Portsmouth are one of the only teams in the top six that have convincingly done in week-in-week-out. It's no surprise that they've been the most consistent team and deserve their place at the top of the table."

Winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing spoke to RamsTV on Easter Monday to preview the match with the league leaders.

He said: "When I was younger, I might have been a bit nervy - but it's just excitement now. I can't wait for the game, it's going to be a great atmosphere and it looks a nice pitch. First against second is a great fixture to play in and hopefully we can go and get the job done."

Ticket Information

Tickets for Derby fans have sold out for the visit to Fratton Park.

The Rams were allocated 2,196 tickets for the match, which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports, and these have now completely sold out.

Those fans without a ticket are advised not to make the trip south, as they will be unable to gain access to the stadium.

Match Officials

Will Finnie will take charge of the meeting with Pompey and he will be assisted by Michael Webb and David Harrison.

David Rock has been appointed as Fourth Official for the contest.

Finnie has taken charge of 37 games so far this season and Tuesday will mark the third time this campaign he has been the man in the middle for a Rams game.

He reffed two of Derby's big away victories in League One this term; the 3-1 win at Blackpool in October and the dramatic 3-2 comeback victory over Oxford United in December.

Finnie has distributed 118 yellow cards, five red cards and awarded seven penalties to date.
