Derby County’s Under-21s made it two wins out of two at in the 2023/24 Central League with a resounding 7-0 success at Huddersfield Town on Tuesday afternoon.
A youthful Rams side blew the Terriers away to collect all three points in West Yorkshire to follow up their 3-1 home win over Mansfield Town in the Central League back in August.
First year scholar Niall McAndrew scored twice, as did fellow Under-18s team-mate Justin Oguntolu, while defender Ryan Bartley, forward Lennon Wheeldon and Alex Gibson-Hammond also got on the scoresheet.
A total of seven scholars were named in Jake Buxton’s starting line-up, while they finished with a total of nine on the pitch.
Next up for the Under-21s in the Central League is a trip to Notts County on Friday 8th December (2pm kick-off).
