fixture.
Manager's Thoughts...
Manager Sam Griffiths knows her side are in for a tough test against the promotion-chasing Clarets.
However, she has full confidence in her side that they can rise to the occasion and aim to continue their impressive recent form.
Although Burnely are flying high, Griffiths believes the spirit in the Ewes' camp is something she expects to come to the fore.
She said: "Burnley are top of the table and doing really well.
"They have got some excellent players, so it won't be an easy game for us at all.
"I back these girls against anyone and I know they'll play in the right way and with the right spirit."
She added: "It is a game that we are looking forward to."
The Season So Far...
Derby County Women’s form since the beginning of October has been nothing short of impressive.
In nine matches in all competitions they have claimed seven wins, one draw and a single defeat.
They’ve scored 31 times during that run and conceded just eight goals along the way.
Their impressive run has seen them move up to sixth spot in the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division, after a tough start to the season against strong opposition, and they also have an interest in the Women’s FA Cup and National League Plate going into the closing stages of 2023.
With several players in impressive form right across the pitch, there’s plenty of encouraging signs to build on in the weeks and months ahead.
