Derby County striker Conor Washington has been named in the Northern Ireland squad for their upcoming 2024 UEFA European Championship qualifiers in Belfast.

Washington has been a mainstay in the international set-up since his debut in 2016 and has once again been selected in Michael O'Neill's 25-man squad for October's matches against San Marino and Slovenia respectively.

Northern Ireland will take on San Marino on Saturday 14th October at Windsor Park (2pm kick-off) before returning to action three days later at the same venue on Tuesday 17th September to take on Slovenia (7:45pm kick-off).

Washington will have a chance to build on his 39 caps and six goals in what are set to be two important fixtures for Northern Ireland as they look to improve on their one win and five losses from their six qualifiers so far in Group H.

The 31-year-old has made five starts and six appearances off the bench, scoring once in the 3-0 success at Burton Albion in August, since joining Derby from Rotherham United in July.
