Derby County Head Coach Paul Warne believes his side will need to be 'at it from minute one' in order to get a result from Saturday's Sky Bet League One clash at Peterborough United (3pm kick-off).

The Rams are looking to land back-to-back wins for the first time this season following their 1-0 home win over Fleetwood Town last weekend, but have a strong Posh side in their way.

Speaking to RamsTV ahead of Saturday's game, Warne spoke about a week on the training ground, gave an injury update and previewed the trip to Peterborough.

On the last week...

It's been good to get some rest. We needed it psychologically and physically. It was nice to not have the mayhem of a Tuesday game. Tuesday is my favourite day when there's not a game because we can stay in for hours and hours and get stuff done on the training ground and inside.

On Louie Sibley and Tom Barkhuizen's returns to fitness...

It's difficult for them to get to the level that we want them to be at after missing so much of pre-season and it's difficult psychologically too. You come back in for pre-seasaon and feel a million dollars but then you get injured and you're instantly taken away from everybody.

This is Tom's first week back training and he needs a week of not reoccurring the injury and just finding his feet. We need him back as he's one of the players in the team, as is Sibs, that can run past people.

They are both a long way off it because pre-season is a massive miss. We need to try and get them up to a level now playing minutes on the pitch without them fatiguing too much so it's hard to juggle.

On the mental state of the recent injured players: Kane Wilson, Max Bird & Joe Ward...

You'd have to ask them as I can only surmise by how I see them. Kane is OK, he thinks he feels amazing because he's never had an injury like this before. He's in the strengthening phase and he will be back quicker than the others.

It's harder for Joe because his was a freak injury, he's still in a boot and on crutches and that's the same with Birdy. I think every player struggles with injury. You want to play, you train to play and you live to play. Birdy and Joe are both intense and live for the game so when you take that away from them it hits them.

On last Saturday's win over Fleetwood...

It's been a difficult start to the season, especially at home, so hopefully we can take a bit of confidence from it. There was a lot of energy and determination in our play but we need to build on the confidence side because the feeling of winning a football match is irreplaceable for us.

You judge yourself off 10 games or so and if we were to get two wins then we'd be averaging two points a game which is bang on promotion form.

On Peterborough United this weekend...

Having Sibs and Tom back makes a massive difference to our attacking prowess. Every time I play against Darren Ferguson's teams they are difficult to play against because they have a real confidence and strut in the way they play.

They've recruited really well again, they have a number of players I've known for a long period of time but knowing them and stopping them is two different things. Last year when we played there and lost 2-0 we were excellent in the first half, we had all the ball but didn't have a shot and in the second half they counter-attacked us twice and punished us.

We need to have a performance over the entirety of the 110 minutes to justify a win.
