Derby County are back at Pride Park Stadium this weekend when they welcome Fleetwood Town in Sky Bet League One (3pm kick-off).

The Rams are in search of their first victory on home soil in the 2023/24 season and will be looking to put that right this weekend in their final home game of August.

In the lead-up to the game getting underway, dcfc.co.uk has brought together all the key information you need to know...

Rams Team News

Midfielder Louie Sibley returned to full training at the beginning of the week after being out since early July with a calf issue and could be brought back into contention.

Forward Tom Barkhuizen (calf) is edging closer to a return to full training but this weekend will come too soon for him.

Midfielder Max Bird limped off at the very end of Tuesday evening's 2-1 defeat to Oxford United and will be assessed by the medical team ahead of Saturday.

Wing-back Joe Ward also had to be brought off midway through the midweek contest and he is also being assessed.

Pre-Match Thoughts

Head Coach Paul Warne spoke to RamsTV to preview Saturday's clash against the Cod Army.

He said: "The lads have a responsibility to put a show on that the fans enjoy and then they get behind the team and then the lads feel great and it's a never ending cycle.

"I think the following and the following away from home has been excellent and generally it's really positive.

"A great performance hopefully tomorrow, get a win, get an early goal and all of a sudden you leave the stadium on Saturday feeling a million dollars."

Rams forward Martyn Waghorn spoke to RamsTV to discuss scoring his first goal following his return to the club earlier this month and to preview Saturday's game.

He said: "We need to use our fans because they follow us in numbers home and away. We're one of the biggest clubs when it comes to that so we need to really appreciate how lucky we are but we also need to give them something to cheer first and foremost."

Match Officials

Lee Swabey will take charge of Saturday's match between Derby and Fleetwood.

Steven Plane and Richard Morris will be on assistant duties whilst Mark Jones has been appointed as Fourth Official for the contest.

Swabey was the man in the middle 33 times over the course of the 2022/23 season, including two Rams games, the 1-0 defeat away at Ipswich Town in October and the 1-1 draw with Portsmouth at Pride Park in April.

He handed out 128 yellow cards, four reds and awarded 16 penalties including one to Ipswich in that narrow defeat at Portman Road.
