Supporters joined staff from across Derby County Football Club on Friday 4th August to find out more about the new six-colour palette, inspired by iconic kits, and see the recently revealed ‘Moments that Mattered’ timeline, which now lines the corridor leading to Pride Park Stadium’s tunnel.
Each of the six key colours was displayed alongside the kit that inspired it, kindly provided by the Rams Heritage Trust and various bits of memorabilia from each era, provided by The Derby County Collection.
The six colours are:
- Founders’ Green – pays testament to our first ever strip
- Victory Blue – recognises the various achievements of the 1970s
- Centenary Gold – is synonymous with our iconic 1894/85 kit
- Premier Burgundy – marks our first ever season in the Premier League
- Community Pink – commemorates the third kit of the 2020/21 season which raised significant awareness of breast cancer
- Timeless Blue – provides a constant throughout history, appearing as early as 1885
Fans whose moments had made the timeline were invited to see their names alongside the artwork that had been created of each memory.
BBC Radio Derby’s Sportscene team also joined the event live between 6pm-7pm to speak to attendees about moments they remember throughout their time supporting the Rams.
There will also be an external timeline outside the South Stand unveiled in the coming weeks to pay testament to the ‘Moments that Mattered’.
