Derby County’s Under-21s tasted a heavy defeat on the road at East Midlands neighbours Nottingham Forest in Premier League 2 - Division 2.
Josh Powell gave Forest an early lead inside the opening ten minutes, but Pat Lyons’ side hit back to equalise on 16 minutes through Ola Ibrahim after he was set-up by Cian Kelly-Caprani.
Derby turned the game on its head on the half-hour mark with Osazee Aghatise putting them in front, but Forest hit back to haul themselves onto level terms three minutes later with Powell once again on target.
Ateef Konate put the home side back in front two minutes later and went on to add Forest’s fourth before what proved to be a breathless first half in Nottinghamshire was out.
Ben Hammond netted a fifth for the hosts before the hour and Julian Larsson added to late goals to inflict a heavy defeat on the Rams.
