The FA Youth Cup So Far...
Derby County's Under-18s progressed into the Second Round of the FA Youth Cup at the end of October thanks to a 2-1 victory over Basford United.
The young Rams were given a scare but first-half goals from Nelson Aideyan and Adebayo Fapetu were enough to ensure it was Jake Buxton's side who went through.
The Rams started well and took the lead early on through Aideyan as he headed home from a corner.
Derby managed to find a second goal before the break with Fapetu firing home from inside the area.
The home side pulled one back just before the hour mark as Ewan Baines struck to set up a frantic final half an hour, but Derby held on to book their place in the Second Round.
