Derby County will continue their preparations for the upcoming 2022/23 Sky Bet League One season on Saturday afternoon with a pre-season friendly at home to German side Hertha Berlin (4pm kick-off).
Team News
Joe Wildsmith, Tom Barkhuizen, Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, James Chester, Conor Hourihane, David McGoldrick, Haydon Roberts, James Collins, Scott Loach and Kwaku Oduroh are set to play some part at Pride Park Stadium after joining the club this summer.
Defender Chester, midfielder Hourihane and striker McGoldrick are set to appear in a Derby shirt for the first time after sitting out last weekend's 2-0 friendly success at Bradford City following only two training sessions with the Derby squad, while striker Collins, goalkeeper Loach and defender Oduroh penned deals earlier this week.
Midfielder Krystian Bielik was also absent at Bradford after sitting out the start of pre-season whilst recovering from a minor knee problem sustained whilst on international duty with Poland in June.
Derby could once again have a few free agents featuring in the matchday squad, as well as a handful of players from the Under-21 squad.
