Popular defender Curtis Davies was named as the Derby County Supporters' Club Player of the Year for the 2021/22 campaign on Saturday evening.

The 37-year-old centre-back was presented with the accolade in the Pedigree Suite at Pride Park Stadium as part of the Supporters’ Club's Annual End of Season Dinner and their first since the COVID-19 pandemic.

Derby’s first-team squad, as well as manager Wayne Rooney and his coaching staff, were in attendance at the event and helped hand out a number of Supporters' Club awards for the campaign.

The squad also posed for photographs and signed autographs and offered their thanks to the Rams’ supporters for their backing throughout the campaign.

Each branch of the Supporters' Club cast their vote on who they regarded as Derby's star man this season on the pitch and Davies, an ever present in the side at the heart of the backline, was the winner.

Davies, who has made 149 appearances for the club since signing from Hull City in 2017, has played all 44 of Derby’s Sky Bet Championship matches this season and was presented with the award by Rams boss Rooney.
