Derby County's Luke Plange has been handed his first international call up after being selected for England’s Under-20s side for their upcoming fixtures.

It’s fine reward for the striker, who is back on loan with the Rams until the end of the 2021/22 season following a permanent move to Crystal Palace during the January transfer window.

Plange has scored three goals for the Rams this term and netted on his full debut against Blackpool at the start of December 2021. Since then, he has scored against Stoke City and Birmingham City and made 19 appearances for Wayne Rooney’s side.

He has earned his first call up to the England Under-20 squad, managed by Andy Edwards, for their two Under-20 Elite League fixtures.

The young Three Lions will travel to Stadion Miejski to face Poland on Friday 25th March (7pm kick-off), whilst four days later, they are back on home soil as they take on Germany at Colchester United’s JobServe Community Stadium on Tuesday 29th March (7:30pm kick-off).

Plange joined Derby's Under-23s from Arsenal ahead of the 2021/22 season and earned a move to Premier League side Crystal Palace for an undisclosed fee in the January transfer window.
