TEAM NEWS…

Derby midfielder Ravel Morrison will not be involved at The Den as he must serve a one-match ban after collecting his fifth yellow card of the season in Wednesday's 2-1 defeat at Barnsley.

Scottish midfielder Graeme Shinnie is back in the fold after he served a one match ban for the game against Barnsley after he picked up his fifth booking of the season in the 2-1 loss at home to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

Polish international midfielder Krystian Bielik, who suffered an ACL knee injury in January of this year, is making good progress in his rehabilitation work but is still not yet in a position to return to full training.

MANAGER'S THOUGHTS…

Manager Wayne Rooney offered his pre-match views to RamsTV on Friday afternoon and he said: “We need to show a positive reaction.

“I think everyone knows that Wednesday night wasn’t good enough, result and performance wise, so it’s a big game for us.

“It will be a tough game at Millwall, so we have to be ready and try to get three points.

“I’m excited for the game. I know it will be a good atmosphere down there and it’s exciting. I’m ready, the players have to be ready and we have to stand up to the challenge.”

He added: “The group have been good in their reaction since the Barnsley game. I spoke to them this morning and they have been really positive. I expect a positive reaction and I’m sure I’ll get that.”

“You can win or lose games, but there is a manner of how you lose a game and Wednesday night wasn’t good enough so it’s a big game for us going into the international break.”

PLAYER THOUGHTS…

Sam Baldock spoke to RamsTV after training on Friday at Moor Farm Training Ground to look ahead to the clash with the Lions.

The striker said: “It was a tough one to take on Wednesday. It was frustrating after taking the lead and playing some okay stuff at times but it was a very disappointed dressing room afterwards.

“We have got to do a bit more. Luckily, we have a chance to right some wrongs tomorrow and hopefully put that one behind us.

“It’s been another tough period and there is a long time to go before the next game, so we don’t want to be dwelling on it for too long.

“Fortunately this game has come two days after the previous one, so we can put it right tomorrow. It’s always a good atmosphere down at Millwall so hopefully we can get three points.”

MATCH OFFICIALS…

Tim Robinson will oversee Saturday's game at The Den.

Robinson has overseen 14 games so far this season in all competitions, showing 55 yellow cards and one red.

His last Rams match was the 1-1 draw at home to Nottingham Forest at the end of August.

Robinson will be assisted by Nigel Lugg and Rob Smith on the lines, whilst David Rock has been appointed as the fourth official.

REMEMBRANCE FIXTURE…

Millwall’s annual Remembrance Day fixture takes place at The Den on Saturday.

Before the action on the pitch gets underway, the Bugler - Cpl Jake Pugsley of The Rifles - and wreath carriers - Gnr Conor Joe Parker of the 47th Regiment Royal Artillery and Chief Petty Officer Tim ‘Bomber’ Mills of HMS Excellent - will lead the teams out before placing wreaths in the centre circle and taking their positions. Both captains will also carry wreaths.

Two further wreaths will be laid behind the goal at the Cold Blow Lane end before kick-off. These will be laid by Chief Petty Officer Martin ‘Eddie’ Edwards, on behalf of Submariners, and Danny O’Callaghan, in memory of his brother, Private Lee O’Callaghan, the Millwall fan from Bermondsey killed in Iraq in August 2004.

Both teams and the officials will join the three service personnel who led the teams out around the centre-circle before the PA introduces the Bugler, who will begin the Last Post.

Please remain silent throughout and fans are encouraged to arrive and take their seats as early as possible.

The referee’s whistle will then mark an end to the commemorations before the match begins.

There will be pre-match collections all around the ground to raise money for the Royal British Legion.

EFL SUBSTITUTE RULES…

The five substitutions rule has been scrapped for the 2021/22 season, the English Football League confirmed in July.

The rule allowing clubs to make five changes, as opposed to the usual three, was brought in following football's restart in June 2020 after a break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Given that games had to be condensed into a short period of time it was thought beneficial and allowed managers to make as many as five changes in three intervals during a match.

Clubs had a longer post-break between seasons this time around and so the temporary rule has been changed.

Teams will be able to name seven substitutes but only use a maximum of three.

STREAMING INFORMATION…

With COVID-19 capacity restrictions lifted and EFL fixtures being played in front of full crowds once again, the temporary change in streaming rules is no longer valid.
