The second edition of The Rampage is set for release on Thursday 8th October and is packed full of exclusive interviews and club-centric content.


To give you a flavour of what to expect in the latest edition of the new monthly magazine we are releasing an extract to whet the appetite.

In an in-depth interview, spanning nine pages, Tom Lawrence spoke for the first time about the devastating loss of his mum in May 2019 as Derby County pushed for the Play-Offs towards the end of the 2018/19 season.

The Welsh international forward spoke openly about the troubled months following and his comeback to ‘the best place he has been mentally’.

Tom continued to play. He wanted to make his mum Deborah proud. Football distracted him, but underneath, there was intense pain. Derby were fighting for a place in the Sky Bet Championship play-offs, but elsewhere, Tom was fighting his own battle to remain strong both on and off the pitch.

“I was driving to training crying to myself in the car on some days,” he recalled.

“When I was in the training ground, I was just being strong. A few lads knew what was going on, but I never really opened up. I asked Frank to keep it quiet. The coaches knew. Some people knew my mum was ill, but not how bad.”
