Derby County goalkeeper Henrich Ravas has joined National League side Hartlepool United on a season-long loan deal until the end of the 2020/21 campaign.

The Slovakian will link up with his new team-mates ahead of the start of the new National League season which is set to kick off on Saturday as Hartlepool host Aldershot Town.

Ravas, who joined the club in 2016, has regularly trained with the club’s first team goalkeepers under the stewardship of Head Goalkeeping Coach Shay Given and acted as an unused substitute on a handful of occasions.

The 23-year-old, who spent time on loan at non-league outfit Gainsborough Trinity in the 2017/18 campaign, is yet to make a competitive first-team appearance for the Rams but has been a regular for the Under-23s in Premier League 2 - Division 1.

Last season, he won the Premier League 2 ‘Save of the Season’ following a sensational tip on to the crossbar against Tottenham Hotspur in a game Derby won 2-1.

Ravas made 15 appearances for the Under-23s prior to the curtailment of their season, whilst his one appearance this campaign came against Everton.
