It is time to show that we’re ‘Black and White Together’ for the 2020/21 Season.
Derby County’s new Umbro home kit was officially revealed for the first time this afternoon as Phillip Cocu’s side hosted Leeds United in the final home game of the current campaign, and it’s on sale now online at dcfcmegastore.co.uk and from tomorrow at the DCFCMegastore.
The DCFCMegastore will re-open with social distancing measures in place from tomorrow (Monday 20th June) from 10am-4pm. Opening hours thereafter will be 10am-4pm from Tuesday-Saturday. Click & Collect options are available at dcfcmegastore.co.uk.
Again produced by Umbro to create a local accent, further reinforcing the bond between club, supporters and brand, the kit is inspired by previous Derby County kits - combining the simplicity of the home kits in the late 1960s and early 1970s with the subtle two-tone pinstripe worn during the 1993/94 and 1994/95 Seasons.
Home Shirt: Umbro have taken Derby’s crisp iconic white to inspire the new season’s shirt. A knitted pique striped front adds depth and complements the solid white sleeves with black asymmetric tipping at the collar and cuffs. Features include a stylised white rib V-neck with black collar insert, raised rubber effect crest, stacked diamond, dropped back hem and official licensed label to the side seam.
Home Shorts: The black shorts have a white contrast tipping to the side panel detail, as well as a contrast raised rubber effect crest with internal drawcords and elasticated waistband.
Home Socks: The white home socks have a black contrast hoop detail, ‘DCFC’ wording on the back and stacked jacquard diamond, together with a cotton footbed and instep cool zone technology.
The front of the Rams’ shirts will again feature 32Red, who enter the third season of their agreement as Derby’s principal shirt sponsor with the ‘Play Responsibly’ message that supporters will have previously seen when the Rams played other 32Red sponsored teams during the current campaign.
Dave Biggar, Derby County Chief Commercial Officer, said: “It’s a challenge when deciding how to improve the home kit whilst still retaining colours synonymous with the club, but Umbro have delved back in time to inspire a modern day design that we think will again prove very popular with supporters.”
Jonathan McCourt, Umbro UK Marketing Manager, said: “It’s exciting that we have this opportunity to reveal the new home kit in such a stand-out fixture for the club and during the last home game of the season. Of course, we would have wanted fans in the stadium, but it will be another proud moment to see the players walk out onto the pitch in the new strip, with the Rams fans watching on.
“The kit has a classic look with stylish features such as the subtle knitted pinstripes to the front and the complimenting hints of black in prominent places. We know the lads will look really smart in this and we hope they can finish the season in style wearing it.”
Neil Banbury, 32Red General Manager - UK, said: “We are pleased to support the launch of Derby's 2020/21 home kit, and whilst it is a shame the fans cannot attend Pride Park Stadium to see the team wear it in person, we're sure it's going to be a hit."

Derby County is committed to responsible gambling, and unbranded kits are available by emailing megastore@dcfc.co.uk; and for the second season, junior kits will feature Utilita Energy, who are also the official shirt partner for Derby’s Under-23s and club mascots, Rammie and Ewie.
There is a new Utilita Energy High 5 logo embellishing the junior shirts for the 2020/21 Season.
Utilita’s #EnergyHigh5 Challenge is a positive behaviour change campaign designed to educate the nation on how every household can waste less energy and save approximately £163 on their annual energy bill by making five simple and free-of-charge adjustments to the way energy is used at home.

Jem Maidment, Utilita’s Chief Marketing Officer said “We have a tremendous relationship with Derby County built up over the past four years and we look forward to working with the club on promoting easy ways for Rams fans to save energy – and cut down their energy bills.
“Little changes can make a big difference. We want 5m households to reduce their energy usage by 2025 – and we have learned young people are more and more switched on to this, so having the logo on the children’s retail jerseys seem the right thing to do, especially as we prepare to launch an energy hub in Derby city centre.”
