Derby County are back on the road in the Sky Bet Championship for their latest midweek fixture when they head to Bristol City on Wednesday evening (7:45pm kick-off).

Phillip Cocu's side ended their long wait for an away win with an impressive 3-2 success at Swansea City on Saturday to hand the Rams a third straight win in all competitions.

dcfc.co.uk has gathered all the information you will need ahead of the game against Lee Johnson's side.

TEAM NEWS…

Manager Phillip Cocu has no fresh injury concerns going into the game at Ashton Gate.

The Derby boss made a double change early in the second half of Saturday's 3-2 win at Swansea with Curtis Davies and Graeme Shinnie entering the action and playing a key part in the victory, so the pair are now pushing to start against the Robins.

Left-back Max Lowe is available again after serving a three-match ban for his sending off in the Rams' fixture at Luton Town last month and Cocu must decide whether to restore the Academy graduate to the side or keep Craig Forsyth in the side.

Midfielder Tom Huddlestone is still out with a calf injury but it is hoped he will resume training in the near future after a fortnight out of action.

George Evans is also out with a calf injury but he is stepping up his workload as he edges nearer to a return to full training.

Krystian Bielik remains out of action with a long-term knee injury which he sustained last month.

PRE-MATCH THOUGHTS…

Speaking to RamsTV ahead of the clash with the Robins, Specialist First Team Coach Twan Scheepers said: “The approach is the same for this game as for any other.

“In the last few away games, we were happy with how we played. However, there were some points where we have dropped points.

“We played more in terms of confidence and the way we want to play. We have created chances and we knew the away win would have to come because we believed that the victory was close.

“It came at Swansea and that gives us confidence to go to Bristol City and have the same approach again.”

He added: “Sometimes the luck can be more on our side and hopefully we will do it again. We will fight for it, just like we do every time.”
