Derby County Under-23s face New Mills FC in the Quarter Final of the Derbyshire Senior Cup on Wednesday (18th December, 7:45pm kick-off).
What is expected to be a young Under-23s side will travel across the Peak District to take on the Millers bidding to reach the semi-final of the competition.
The game will take place at the New Mills FC Stadium, Church Lane (SK22 4NP).
The Rams reached this stage of the competition by beating Clay Cross Town on penalties last month, following a 1-1 draw in normal time, whilst New Mills FC were 2-1 winners away at Ilkeston Town.
New Mills FC currently sit 17th in the North West Counties First Division South after picking up 16 points from their 19 games so far this season.
The Senior Challenge Cup is the county competition for all clubs playing in the National League System.
Teams playing at Step 5 to Step 7 enter in Round 1 and clubs at Step 4 up to Step 1 and the professional game enter at Round 3.
It is the first time that Derby County has taken part in the competition for a number of years, with the Rams last lifting the trophy back in 2010/11.
Taking part in the competition, alongside the various Under-23 competitions, will continue to provide a platform for the players looking to make the step up to the first-team scene.
