Louie Sibley helped England Under-19s to victory in his debut, while Richard Keogh featured in Republic of Ireland’s draw to kick-start the games programme for Derby County's players away on international duty.

Sibley, still just 17-years-old, was named in the starting line-up for the Young Lions’ 3-1 win over Greece at St. George’s Park on Thursday afternoon, playing 73 minutes.

Fellow Derby youngster and Academy product Morgan Whittaker was an unused substitute in the game.

Lee Buchanan, who was orgininally called up to the squad, had to withdraw due to the hamstring injury he sustained in Derby's match at Brentford last weekend.

Greece opened the scoring, but goals from Daniel Adshead, Ryan Edmondson and a penalty from Thomas Doyle secured the victory for Paul Simpson’s side who will now travel to Haiger to face Germany on Monday.

Also in action on Thursday night was the Rams’ captain, Richard Keogh. He helped Mick McCarthy’s side to remain undefeated in Euro 2020 qualifying with a 1-1 draw against Switzerland in Dublin.

Fabian Schar put Switzerland ahead in the group stage clash, but a last gasp goal from David McGoldrick earned a share of the points.

Ireland sit three points clear at the top of their group at the half-way stage, in which Keogh has played the full 90 minutes in all five. Denmark sit just behind, but have a game in hand

Ireland will look to edge closer to Euro 2020 qualifying on Tuesday when they face Bulgaria at the Aviva Stadium.

More Rams are set for international action on Friday with Kyrstian Bielik and Tom Lawrence looking to impress for Poland and Wales in their Euro 2020 qualifiers.

Jason Knight is with Republic of Ireland Under-21s as they face Armenia in the European Under-21 Championship qualifying match.
