Derby County’s first-team squad will fly out to Florida today as preparations for the 2019/20 season continue to gather pace.
Derby’s players will be put through their paces across several training sessions over the course of 10 days, during which they will also play two friendly matches.
The squad will be based at training camp in Sarasota on Florida’s Gulf Coast for the duration of their stay in the United States.
Derby will face United Soccer League side Sarasota Metropolis on Wednesday 10th July and fellow Sky Bet Championship outfit Bristol City on Saturday 13th July in Florida before returning home.
Both matches are set to be staged at the IMG Training Complex.
Andre Wisdom and Duane Holmes will remain in Derby to undergo medical treatment on injuries, while Under-23s players Jason Knight, Lee Buchanan, Calum Macdonald, Jayden Mitchell-Lawson, Joe Bateman and Morgan Whittaker will be part of the travelling group.

Derby’s players will fly back to the UK on 14th July to step up their preparations for the new season on home soil.
