Youngster Jayden Bogle has been nominated for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month for April for a string of impressive performances for Derby County.
The right-back hit his stride in what was a productive month for the 18-year-old Academy graduate.
He started the month by scoring his first goal in professional football as he fired the Rams into the lead with a superb individual effort against Brentford at Griffin Park.
He took on two men before firing into the bottom corner to put the Rams 2-1 ahead in a game which they would go on to draw 3-3.
Two assists in three games followed for Bogle as he played the ball for Craig Bryson to open the scoring in the 4-0 home win against Bolton Wanderers, whilst his long ball forward against Birmingham City found Martyn Waghorn who lobbed the ball over Lee Camp to draw Derby level in the 2-2 draw at St Andrew's.
He also won a crucial penalty, scored by Harry Wilson, in the 2-0 home win over Queens Park Rangers on Easter Monday.
His second goal of the month came in the vital q-0 victory over Bristol City at Ashton Gate. He raced into the box and met a cut back from Mason Bennett to confidently finish into the top corner and secure all three points for the Rams.
Bogle has been nominated for the award alongside Dwight Gayle (West Bromwich Albion), Jack Grealish (Aston Villa) and Daniel James (Swansea City).
The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet EFL Trader Ivor Davies and the winner will be announced on Friday 3rd May 2019.
