Gary Rowett was thrilled with the attitude of his players as Derby County came from behind to beat Leeds United 2-1 at Elland Road on Tuesday night.
Sam Winnall picked up where he left off against Norwich City on Saturday to score twice in the second half and lead the Rams to their fourth successive victory in the Sky Bet Championship.
Derby found themselves behind after just eight minutes and Rowett believes that the team’s second half fightback will only increase their confidence.
He told RamsTV: “The more we win, the more the players believe in themselves and we’re never beaten in games, which is a trait that I absolutely love in my teams.
“We have to start every game with the same mentality, we have to recognise what it is that is making us win games and we’ve got to make sure that we keep improving.”
The Rams welcome Reading to Pride Park Stadium on Saturday, and Rowett wants his side to go into the final international break of 2017 on a high.
He said: “It’s always hard when you’ve had a midweek game, you don’t get a lot of time to work, but I was really pleased on Tuesday.
“It’s four wins on the spin, we’re seven unbeaten now and we’re building nicely, but we’ve got an opportunity to finish this period off at the weekend.
“Reading have the ability to win any game, so we’re going to have to be at our very best again.”
