Derby County is pleased to announce Nuffield Health as their latest club partner.

Nuffield Health is one of the leading not-for-profit UK healthcare organisations, looking after people for more than 60 years.

Today, they run a network of hospitals, medical clinics, fitness and wellbeing clubs and diagnostic units across the UK. They also support businesses in looking after their employees by operating their fitness and wellbeing facilities services.

Through their experts, they link their sites and services up to offer connected healthcare provision, including nutritional therapy, emotional wellbeing, occupational health, comprehensive health assessments, personal training and hospital treatments. They also offer access to the largest network of physiotherapists outside of the NHS.

As a trading charity, they do not have investors or shareholders to answer to – their customers and patients come first. All their income is invested back into operating and developing their health and wellbeing services and pioneering new models of care and delivery so that more people can benefit. To date, 93% of their hospitals have been rated good or outstanding by independent regulators.

The partnership will see Nuffield Health advertise their brand – both in terms of their gym memberships and their clinical services - at Pride Park Stadium throughout the 2017/18 season.

In addition, Derby’s players will be able to utilise the facilities at Nuffield Health’s Fitness & Wellbeing Club next to Derbyshire County Cricket Club’s ground, located just off of Brian Clough Way.

Derby County’s Head of Medical Services, Nigel Cox, said: “I’m delighted that the club is entering into a partnership with Nuffield Health.

“As a medical department, we have already benefitted greatly from an excellent relationship with the Derby Nuffield Hospital that caters for many of our clinical requirements.

“We are now extending that relationship even further to incorporate the excellent facilities for use with our players at the in Derby.

“The Health & Fitness Club itself has recently overseen a massive investment. I have been very impressed with both the facilities and the enthusiastic approach of their staff, who are quite rightly very proud of their service provision.

“For us, it is important during long-term rehabilitation to be able to take the athlete somewhere new, and be able to provide a fresh and different stimulus to their programme. The same goes for whole squad sessions, and the Nuffield has some great alternative options for us to utilise in our overall training programme.

“We very much look forward to a mutually beneficial partnership.”
