Derby County are pleased to confirm Utilita Energy as their secondary shirt partner for the upcoming 2017/18 season.

Utilita’s distinctive logo will appear on the back of Derby’s home, away and third choice shirts and shorts for all first-team matches over the course of the campaign.

The rising challenger brand will advertise across Derby’s pitch and crowd-facing sponsorship assets at Pride Park Stadium.

Utilita will also work closely with the Derby County Community Trust to provide free coaching to local youngsters, as well as on their employability schemes within the local area.

“Our partnership with Derby County Football Club began at the beginning of the 2016/17 season and has gone from strength-to-strength over the last 12 months,” Jem Maidment, Utilita’s Head of Marketing & Communications, said.

“Our increased investment in the club underlines this. We look forward to working with the club over the coming season on some fantastic community initiatives – as well as further raising awareness of our brand and products to Rams supporters and the wider East Midlands community.”

Ashley Peden, Director of Partnerships from Derby County, added: “We are delighted that Utilita have increased their involvement with the club by taking up the sponsorship of our back of shirts and shorts for the 2017/18 campaign.

“We have a fantastic working relationship with Utilita, established over the 2016/17 season, and we’re really excited about the prospect of their brand appearing on our kit for this season.”

Formed in 2003, Utilita is leading the way in Britain’s smart meter revolution.

The first main challenger to the ‘Big 6’ in the smart pay-as-you-go domestic market, Utilita has worked tirelessly to give Britain’s hard-pressed families a fairer, more transparent, energy deal.

Utilita is the fastest growing independent energy supplier in the country (Source: Cornwall Energy) reaching 500,000 customers in April 2017 – up from just 200,000 in June 2015.

It is an established Which? Top 10 supplier for customer satisfaction and between 2008 and April 2017 held a price commitment to be cheaper than the ‘Big 6’ on a comparative tariff.

Utilita’s smart meters can be topped up online, on its app or at any PayPoint outlet in the country. They provide real-time usage of your energy consumption and are the first line in the fight against fuel poverty.

Rams fans who sign up can receive an exclusive Derby County In-Home Display cover and a £25 voucher for the club shop – as well as a host of benefits and services from Britain’s leading smart pay-as-you-go supplier, as well as ticket giveaways and offers for some of Britain’s biggest music festivals and shows.
