Derby County are pleased to confirm the appointment of Robin Sadler as the club’s new Head Physiotherapist.
Sadler joins Derby after working at Premier League side Manchester City for over 16 years and takes up his post with immediate effect.He progressed from working in Manchester City’s Academy set-up into the first-team environment and held the position of first team physiotherapist for 10 years.
Sadler will report directly to the club’s Head of Medical Services, Nigel Cox.
Speaking about Sadler’s arrival, Cox said: “The club are delighted to have secured the services of someone of Robin’s calibre.
“He played a big part in the development of Manchester City's medical team and he brings great experience and passion to the project here at Derby County.
“I have no doubt that he will prove to be a huge asset to the team that we are developing here, which supports our players as we strive to perform at the very highest level of the game.”
Sadler holds a BSc Hons in Physiotherapy and a Master of Science degree in Manual Therapy.
Neil Sullivan, previously held the position of Head Physiotherapist, has left the club and departs with everyone’s best wishes for the future.
