Derby County hosted the Talbot Sports Turf Showcase at the club’s Training Centre back in March.
Talbot Farm Landscapes ltd, who are a proud partner of Derby County, are turfing and sports surface experts with access to some of the most advanced equipment in the industry.
Based in the East Midlands, they have prepared surfaces for the biggest names in sport from Premier League football teams to Super League rugby stadiums, international cricket grounds, and the best golf courses in the world.
Talbot Sports Turf have worked with the club for over 15 years. They have helped oversee the development of the Training Centre and continue to offer top quality surfaces for manager Frank Lampard and his squad to utilise.
Paul Thompson, Head Groundsman at Derby County, said: “The event brought together sports clubs from across the country to view the fantastic surfaces at the Training Centre with the focus of the day on the Powergrass pitch.
“We boast one Powergrass pitch at the Training Centre as well as SIS pitches, Fibre Sand pitches, a Root Zone pitch, seven Clay Soil pitches and three 3G Artificial pitches.
“It was great to showcase our pitches to other clubs and share best practice.”
Talbot Sports Turf Director Sean Goodwin added: “We are proud of our association with Derby County Football Club and it was good to also meet representatives from sports clubs around the country.
“It was good to demonstrate some of the things our business has to offer and overall it was a successful day.”
