Derby County legend Reg Harrison will be laid to rest on Tuesday 13th October and the family of the last surviving member of the club’s 1946 FA Cup winning side has invited supporters to pay their respects through RamsTV.


The former Rams player passed away peacefully last month aged 97.

Colin Gibson will be joined by Derby ambassadors Roy McFarland and Roger Davies from 9:00am in the RamsTV studio as they pay tribute to Reg with a look back at his life. Live coverage of the service will commence at 9:30am.

As well as being an FA Cup winner, Reg served in World War Two and did tremendous work with youth football in the local community and was awarded the Freedom of the City in 2019.

The procession will arrive to the song ‘Abide with Me’ which was the anthem sang at the FA Cup Final in which Reg played the full game as a 22-year old in 1946. His daughter, Pat will be wearing her mum’s rosette from the Final at Wembley Stadium.

The Dean of Derby will welcome the congregation at the Cathedral and Reverend Tony Luke will conduct the service while Anton Rippon will conduct the Eulogy at the service.

After the service, Reg’s Family will then leave for a private burial.
